Web Redesign - A Closer Look

15 May 2005

After 6 months of hard work on the new brother sean website it went live early this morning. I started working on redesigning the site mainly because I wanted it to be more interactive. I wanted people who went to a brother sean show to be able to comment about the show on the website the next day. Everything sort of spidered out from there. Below are some of the new features:

  • Visitors can submit comments about journal entries and past shows (aka blogging)
  • Images have been incorporated in news, journal and live show entries
  • Music and Images have been seperated into their own pages
  • Links to purchase digital downloads have been added to the store
  • The site will work on PDAs and will download quickly
  • Newsletter signup has been streamlined
  • Brother Sean Radio links have been added to most pages
  • Image pages provide quicker access to large format images

Please take a look around and be one of the first to submit a journal comment. Let us know what you think of the new site. What do you like and what can we do to make it even better.

The page looks great, Kevin. I hope you keep up the journaling as well. By the way, do you any Brother Sean t-shirts for sale? Let me know. I'd love to buy one.

Well, well--Kevin has out-geeked himself! Not easy to do. Sweet site, though. Hoping for a Brother Sean show/reunion in San Diego. Also hope to make a show in Washington, DC, sometime. When is the new album out? Looking forward to it! P.S. I dig the violet and mauve color scheme. Tasty!

Hey Kevin, the new site looks great. Looking forward to some DC-area shows now that you are in town and Sean is back on land!

As the orignial bassist of Plain Jane, I concur. Kevin has managed to maintain his artistic roots yet be avant garde in a perriwinkle kind of way. It's quite tasteful and relaxing. When does the European tour start? Oy from London! Wolff
